You might have noticed I’ve been a little quieter lately — and it’s been intentional.
After reaching a major personal milestone (yes, I paid off my mortgage! 🎉), I gifted myself a well-earned sabbatical from social enterprise volunteer work. I’ve been soaking up beach and lakeside walks with my dog Bella, attending yoga retreats, and enjoying spacious time to reflect, recharge, and reconnect with what truly matters.

🚗 Travel Allowance Cuts Now in Effect
Provider travel time reimbursements in many regions were halved in July for many allied health practitioners. If your team works in rural or regional areas, it’s time to revisit your model.
👶 New “Thriving Kids” Program Set to Replace NDIS for Some Children
Starting July 2026, many children with mild developmental delay or autism will be supported outside the NDIS via the new Thriving Kids initiative. This may impact referral pathways, eligibility, and service planning.
