The NDIS Just Changed the Rules on How Providers Attract Clients
Hello Whole Warrior community,
April has brought two major shifts that most providers are underestimating.
The NDIS Integrity and Safeguarding reforms…
and Google’s crackdown on how reviews are collected.
On the surface, they look like compliance and platform updates.
But underneath, they signal something much bigger:
The way providers attract clients is changing — permanently.
Here’s what I’m already seeing:
Providers relying on visibility alone will feel this shift first.
Providers built on relationships, clarity, and trust will rise.
Because NDIS registration has never guaranteed participants.
And now… neither will marketing.
NDIS Sector Update – What This Actually Means for Providers
The Integrity and Safeguarding reforms introduce stronger enforcement powers, including:
• Significant financial penalties and criminal offences
• Anti-promotion orders targeting misleading or harmful advertising
• Increased scrutiny on how services are described and delivered
• Movement toward tighter system controls and registration requirements
But here’s the part most people are missing:
This is not just about compliance.
This is about how your business is perceived in the ecosystem.
If there is a gap between:
• what you say you offer
• what you actually deliver
• and how others experience your service
that gap is becoming more visible.
And more risky.
Marketing Reality Check: Google Has Changed the Game
Google is now actively removing Google reviews that show signs of manipulation, including:
• incentivised reviews
• selective requests for positive feedback
• guiding what clients should say
• reviews from staff or associates
If your current strategy relies on any version of this…
it’s no longer just ineffective — it’s a liability.
The providers who will grow from here are the ones who:
• build trust before asking for feedback
• invite honest experiences, not curated ones
• become known through relationships before search
Because reputation is no longer something you “build later.”
It’s something you are being assessed on in real time.
Whole Warrior Insight: This Is the Shift
Both the NDIS reforms and Google updates are pointing to the same truth:
Integrity is now a business strategy.
Not as a value statement.
Not as branding.
As a practical, operational advantage.
This is where many providers will get stuck —
trying to fix marketing without addressing positioning, clarity, and referral trust.
This is the work I’m doing every day with providers across the country.
Seeing where they are unintentionally misaligned…
and helping them close those gaps before it impacts referrals.
What We’re Working On Right Now
Inside the Warrior Community, the focus this month is:
• Interpreting the new legislation in real terms
• Reviewing marketing practices against current expectations
• Strengthening referral pathways with Support Coordinators
• Turning ethical practice into clear, confident messaging
Your Next Step
If you’ve read this and had even a quiet thought of:
“I haven’t properly reviewed my marketing in a while…”
That’s your signal.
Because in this environment, small gaps don’t stay hidden.
They compound.
Book a 1-hour Strategy Session and we’ll map:
• where your messaging may be unclear
• how your service is being perceived externally
• what to shift now to stay aligned, visible, and trusted

Tool Providers Have Been Asking About
I've shared this twice without adding the link yikes! So here it is... Many providers ask me what systems can help manage referrals, rostering, progress notes, NDIS plan dates, HR check reminders, and stakeholder communication more effectively.
One platform I’ve been exploring is Astalty, designed specifically for disability services.
It helps streamline:
• referral tracking
• participant enquiries
• rostering
• operational workflows
If you’re exploring systems to organise your operations as your service grows, it may be worth taking a look. Having a Client Record Management (CRM) software that is affordable and can grow with your business is gold for ethical NDIS providers.
